Overview

Conventional clarifiers work — they just take up a lot of room. The Lamella Clarifier delivers the same settling performance in a fraction of the footprint, making it the professional-grade choice for industries that need continuous, high-volume clarification of process water or wastewater. Built on the proven inclined plate principle, it reliably removes suspended solids, flocculated particles, and other settleable materials — fast, and without sacrificing water quality.

How It Works

The principle is simple and remarkably efficient. Inside the tank, a series of closely spaced, inclined plates — the lamella packs — create a large number of shallow settling channels. Particle-laden feed enters and flows upward between the plates. Under gravity, solids settle onto the plate surfaces, slide down the incline, and collect in the sludge hopper. Meanwhile, clarified liquid continues upward and is captured by effluent launders. The result: an effective settling area many times larger than the tank's physical footprint.

Core Advantages

A clarifier that thinks it's ten times bigger. The inclined plate configuration provides an effective settling area equivalent to a conventional clarifier many times its size — ideal for space-constrained sites.

Clean water, high flow. Consistently produces high-quality, low-turbidity effluent while handling high flow rates with stable performance.

Nothing to wear out. With no moving parts in the settling zone, operational reliability is extremely high and maintenance is minimal — reducing lifecycle costs.

One unit, many roles. Works effectively as a primary clarifier, a secondary clarifier, or for specific process separation tasks, and adapts readily to different chemical conditioning (coagulation/flocculation) setups.

Easy on the budget, easy on the site. The compact design cuts civil construction costs, and low energy consumption adds up to a compelling return on investment.

Who It's For

Drinking water and municipal wastewater treatment — widely used for raw water clarification and secondary clarification stages in municipal plants.

Industrial process water and wastewater — essential for mining and mineral processing, pulp and paper, chemical processing, and steel production, in process water recovery and effluent treatment.

Stormwater runoff management — effective removal of sediments, heavy metals, and hydrocarbons before discharge or reuse.

Desalination and seawater intake pretreatment — a critical pre-filtration step that reduces silt density index (SDI) and protects downstream membranes.

Industrial recycling and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems — a key solid-separation unit within complex water recycle and brine concentration systems.
