Integrated Water Purification Unit

Product Overview
The RUITONG Integrated Water Purification Unit is a cost-effective, all-in-one solution that delivers drinking water meeting World Health Organization (WHO) standards and other international quality benchmarks. Easy to operate, energy-efficient, and available for rapid delivery, it packages the entire treatment train — coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection — into one compact system.
The unit's versatile, standardized design suits a wide range of duties: municipal and rural drinking water production, industrial process water preparation, and advanced wastewater treatment stages that effectively strip pollutants such as suspended solids, phosphorus, and heavy metals.
Core Treatment Process
Coagulation. Coagulating chemicals are injected directly into the pipe and mixed with the raw water. The coagulants promote collisions between fine suspended particulates (colloids), causing them to aggregate into large flocs that settle readily in the clarifier — leaving behind clear water with very low turbidity.
Flocculation. The coagulated water flows into the flocculation zone, where a coagulant aid or polymer can be added to strengthen floc bonding. Slow stirring brings the forming precipitates into contact with remaining contaminant particles, building ever-larger flocs.
Clarification. The coagulated and flocculated water is distributed evenly across the bottom of the lamella settler through carefully designed distribution laterals. The tube settler's large surface area lets flocs settle by gravity into the bottom thickening zone, from which sludge is periodically withdrawn through an automatic valve. Clarified water is collected from the clarifier surface via perforated tubes.
Filtration. Clarified water enters the high-rate gravity filter, where remaining fine solid particles are removed. Depending on the application, the filter uses dual-media or multi-media beds; water passes through the media layers and exits via the underdrain system. The filter is backwashed intermittently, based on the raw water's influent turbidity.
Disinfection. Disinfection can be applied with liquid or gaseous chlorine — or with ultraviolet (UV) disinfection where preferred.
